Erickson was contracted for the installation of PECO's new Green Roof for PECO's corporate headquarters.

The project sprawled 48,000 square feet, and -- after removal of the existing roof, and structural upgrades to the base surface -- entailed the installation of a four-layered green-roof assembly.

Stacked layers include an underlying drainage board with leak detection system, root guard, and three inches of a supportive growth medium. The topmost layer will boast five different varieties of succulent flowering sedum, ensuring an attractive, hardy groundcover that will flower and flourish throughout the growing season.
