| This project incorporated an aggressive midschool year
schedule to convert a 25,000 square foot former YMCA facility in downtown
Philadelphia, including the restoration of historically significant
interior facades, into the new home of a Philadelphia Charter School.
The project called for detailed plaster restoration, refurbishing
of an indoor gymnasium, and the
creation of new classrooms, offices, and auxiliary space. Erickson
followed a fast-track schedule, successfully installing new mechanical
and electrical systems, as well as new ADA-compliant elevators designed
to meet all updated requirements.
