Erickson was selected by national non-profit human services organization Volunteers of America for their new Drug & Alcohol Substance Abuse Treatement Facility in Camden, NJ.

The eight-month project involves a 25,000 square foot gut, and total renovation, of a two-story mixed use facility. Structural repairs will include replacing and strengthening existing steel beams, wood timbers, and 2” x 8” tongue-and-groove decking throughout. Three new stair towers will be added, as well as a new elevator. Additionally, the façade will be repaired and updated, including new aluminum-framed windows and metal panels.

The finished space will include exam rooms, nurse stations, administrative offices, classrooms, a large Day Room with kitchen, and private overnight-stay rooms. In addition, the building will sport completely new Electrical, Gas, Sanitary, Storm and Fire protection systems, as well as a new heating and cooling system.
