Erickson partnered with a confidential client to deliver a ±13,953-square-foot interior fit-out that reimagined the building’s second floor as a dynamic, modern, and highly adaptable workplace. The project was thoughtfully designed to support both focused work and collaboration, balancing operational efficiency with contemporary aesthetics.
The transformed space includes a mix of private offices, open and inviting collaboration areas, a well-appointed pantry, and state-of-the-art conference rooms designed to foster productivity, connectivity, and flexibility. Each element was carefully planned to enhance the day-to-day experience of employees while allowing the workplace to evolve alongside the client’s needs.
A key complexity of the project was the building’s designation under the National Park Service. Erickson’s team skillfully navigated the unique requirements of working within a protected structure, seamlessly integrating new construction while preserving the integrity of the original exterior walls and historic columns. Close coordination, precision detailing, and a deep respect for the existing architecture ensured that modern interventions complemented—rather than compromised—the building’s historic character.
The result is a forward-looking workspace that reflects the client’s vision while honoring the legacy of the property. This project exemplifies Erickson’s ability to deliver sophisticated interior environments within historically sensitive settings, combining craftsmanship, collaboration, and thoughtful construction to achieve lasting value.
