Erickson believes effective planning, design, and budgeting during preconstruction establishes the foundation for a successful construction project.  We are committed to understanding our client’s needs early on and working collaboratively with the team to provide: Order of Magnitude Estimates, Value Engineering, Phasing/Programming, Scheduling, and Logistics Plans.  Our depth of resources, in-house estimating capabilities, and historical cost data enable us to provide a detailed level of budgeting and scheduling leading to client savings and efficient client programming.  Our Preconstruction Team consists of individuals from both Estimating and Operations, providing a seamless transition from preconstruction to construction.

Construction Management Team at Work

As a traditional general contractor Erickson stands behind our reputation for successfully achieving the highest standards in construction by employing the finest skilled craftsman and installing the highest quality of materials.  Our reputation has allowed us to maintain close professional relationships with our local subcontractors, suppliers and vendors all of which share the highest standard for quality construction.  Similar to our Construction Management services we assign a dedicated Project Team for each project responsible for tracking cost, maintaining schedule, and controlling document flow.  In addition, we provide dedicated field staff responsible for controlling the jobsite activities, enforcing safety parameters, and maintaining quality control.

Erickson’s design-build approach allows for single source accountability through the lifespan of the project. Erickson works with the client early in the planning phase to fully understand the client’s program, budget goals and schedule.  Once the programming and goals are confirmed, we engage with our most experienced and qualified design partners capable of meeting the client’s expectations.  Throughout the design process and through our collaborative team efforts we strive to incorporate a best value approach. This provides the client with the best cost economies for their project and insures  the most comprehensive and successful project for the entire team.

Erickson understands that once a construction project is complete clients may still have ongoing needs as they learn to live in their new space.   Under our Service Agreements Erickson provides the client with a streamlined process for maintenance, repairs, and small renovations.  Erickson designates one point of contact, whether on-site or off-site, to address all current and future service needs.

As a seamless service within Erickson’s preconstruction and construction management processes, Erickson can perform design model constructability reviews and 3D MEP shop drawing clash detection and coordination when requested by our clients. 3D Laser scanning paired with BIM coordination has proven to be a valuable asset to our clients for Erickson’s interior fit out projects. Erickson prequalifies and assembles a proficient subcontractor team that participates in and assists us in realizing the BIM coordination process. Erickson leads the process from first clash meeting until the as-built coordination model is complete.

Sustainability is the standard on all Erickson projects, not just those targeted for a sustainability designation.  Erickson consistently strives to maintain an eco-friendly environment during construction, whether it is in developing a Construction Waste Management Plan, Dust Mitigation Process, Indoor Air Quality Program, or selecting low VOC materials.  Our LEED Accredited and Green Advantage Certified staff are engaged early in projects to assist in the selection of environmentally conscious materials and processes and develop sustainability plans that are carried out during construction.  On LEED targeted projects, Erickson works closely with the project appointed LEED representative to ensure all necessary documentation is accurate and submitted in a timely manner.
