Sustainability

Our Commitment
Our relationship with our client never begins with a minimalist approach to the environmental aspects of the design and construction process. Sustainability demands a commitment to change, not just in our performance but the vendors, tools, supplies and approach utilized along the way.

In light of that, our sustainability program at Erickson includes both a professional practice application and a corporate commitment that infuses the care and concern for our environment with our normal execution in both areas.

Whether your project calls for formal LEED Certification, or a Construction Manager with concrete Green Building practices, C. Erickson has the knowledge and experience for the job.

Internal Training & Employee Certification
Erickson makes continuing education available to our estimators, project managers, and superintendants. Green Advantage training and official LEED Certification are just two ways in which we keep our in-house staff appraised of the best practices in sustainable building and renovation. The knowledge of these employees is available to serve our clients’ needs, and as well as providing an internal resource for maintaining sustainability standards

Working Green
In the spirit of thinking globally and acting locally, Erickson is proud to take a “Working Green” approach in the day-to-day function of our business offices and purchasing practices`. Whether switching to energy-efficient lighting and appliances, stocking earth-friendly, bio-degradable cleaning products, or maintaining a more electronic, “paperless” data and record-keeping systems, we strive to make our environmental footprint as much a priority as the quality of our work.

Coupled with our focus on Sustainable Building, including staff training, Green and LEED Certification construction, Erickson is committed to building a cleaner, better world, beginning right here at home.

We’ve helped several of our clients obtain LEED Certification status for their project. Most notably, PECO Energy’s ongoing and much-publicized company-wide “green” initiative.
A few sample projects are:

Crown Lights – LEED Silver
MOB LEED Conversions – LEED EBOM Gold
